About Jacquelyn, RMT, Manual Lymphatic Therapist

Jacquelyn graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy (WCCMT). Throughout the program, she completed clinical practicums at WCCMT and several outreach placements. This educational experience provided her the opportunity to work with a wide array of physical conditions. These conditions included, high-risk pregnancy at BC Women’s Hospital, neurological conditions, and general soft tissue dysfunctions. Some of the most rewarding work experience was gained working with the patients at GF Strong, BC’s largest rehabilitation hospital.

Jacquelyn feels it’s extremely important to attend continuing education courses. She sees great value in the knowledge obtained from each course, which she feels ultimately results in greater treatment outcomes. When creating individualized treatment plans, Jacquelyn listens to each case and decide which tools in her toolbox will be most effective. She often utilizes multiple techniques within one treatment, and is adaptive with her treatment plans according to the tissues responses. Jacquelyn’s goal is to help clients reach their goal as best that she can. Whether that goal is living pain free, increasing range of motion, aiding in recovery after surgery or sports injury, or simply relaxing from life’s daily stresses.

In early 2019, Jacquelyn attended the Dr. Vodder International School where she continued to advance her knowledge and abilities. In this four-week intensive training, she became certified in the original method of Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. Through these techniques she has been helping clients manage an array of conditions, such as:

• Lymphedema, commonly occurs after cancer treatments

• Mastectomies, hysterectomies

• Lymph node removal

• Surgical scars

• Joint replacements

• General swelling

• Sports injuries (e.g. sprains, strains, fractures)

• Dermatological conditions (e.g. acne)

• Burns and bruises

• Pre and post operative treatments (e.g. liposuction, implants etc)

• Migraines/headaches and the list goes on.

Most recently, Jacquelyn has taken a course on End range Loading techniques. This highly effective technique is best described as intense stretching. End range loading is successful in helping reduce chronic pain, tendonitis, headaches/ Migraines, thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) etc.

When Jacquelyn isn’t in the office, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling the world. While she adores all animals, dogs hold a special place in her heart.

Jacquelyn’s Client Reviews

> “Jacquelyn is the BOMB! I started going to see her with what I always thought was just normal adult issues, aches, pains, sore and stiff muscles. Jacquelyn is so thorough, patient and kind looking for ways to help me live my best life. She is also very good at recommending complementary health practices when or if appropriate. If I could give her more stars I would. I highly recommend seeing Jacquelyn!”-Review by Stacey G.
